Project Story

The Sebastopol Mens Shed started off as a dream to develop a gathering point for men in the area. For too long men didn't have a outlet to express their mate ship and comradely. A new purpose built Mens Shed is to be built with the provision of disabled toilets and disabled access that will enable men with a disability to be equal and be able to share in the life  and projects.

The Shed started as a handful of men and has developed into a vibrant organization specializing in all forms of community engagement an emphasis on men's health.

From hearing tests to lectures on prostate cancer and quit smoking campaigns the shed encourages participants to be active in maintaining their health. As Nutrition is a vital component of men's health - the shed aims to provide healthier meals on a regular basis.
